    The oil painting Après le bain by the French Orientalist painter Paul-Louis Bouchard (1853–1937) shows a bathing scene with two women (Thornton, 1994, p. 74). On the left-hand side of the painting, there is a stucco and glass window with stylized blossoms with red petals surrounded by smaller blossoms.
