    Brustbild eines Heiligen im Profil. Der Mann in braunem Habit und hellgelbem Nimbus, vermutlich Franz von Assisi, blickt nach links oben, die Hände zum Gebet geöffnet. Seine Stirn berührt ein glutroter Halbkreis, möglicherweise ein Symbol für die Sonne. Gesichtszüge, Bart und die Hände mit den Stigmata sind aus dem Überfangglas geschliffen. Der Hintergrund der Darstellung ist in Hellgelb gehalten.

    Das Werk stellt eine frühe Glasmalerei von Heinrich Stäubli dar, der sich intensiv mit christlichen Heiligendarstellungen beschäftigte, diese jedoch oft frei und undogmatisch interpretierte. Die Glasmalerei des Franz von Assisi zeichnet sich durch ihre nuancierte und auf wenige Töne reduzierte Farbgebung aus, die die Darstellung kontemplativ und feierlich wirken lässt.
