    Farbiger Entwurf für eine Wappenscheibe: Vor blauem und lila-grauem Grund vier goldene Weizenähren, ein horizontales rotes Band mit alternierenden Croissants und Brezen, darunter der Wappenschild Bättig und das Wappen der Stadt und Fürstabtei St. Gallen über einem Croissant (möglicherweise auch das Wappen des Bäcker- und Konditoren-Meistervereins der Stadt St. Gallen).

    Research

    Der Einzelhandel, Unternehmen sowie wirtschaftliche Interessensverbände nutzten die Glasmalerei für ihre Zwecke. Anlässlich des 50-jährigen Jubiläums der Konditorei und Bäckerei Bättig in Stadt St. Gallen stiftete der Bäcker- und Konditoren-Meisterverein der Stadt St. Gallen eine Wappenscheibe, von welcher sich dieser farbige Entwurf erhalten hat. Ikonografisch nehmen die Weizenähre und die Breze Bezug auf den Handwerksbetrieb. Heraldisch sind sowohl der stiftende St. Galler Verein wie auch der Rezipient der Scheibe abgebildet. Während es die Bäckerei Bättig heute nicht mehr gibt, ist der St. Galler Bäcker-Confiseurmeister-Verband (SGBC) nach wie vor aktiv.
