    Das runde figürliche Monolithscheibchen besitzt eine aus Flickstücken bestehende, nachträglich angefügte Bordüre in Form eines Rankendekors

    Research

    Die Herkunft des nachträglich mit einer Bordüre aus Flickstücken eingefasste Rundscheibchen ist unbekannt. Die holzschnittartige Zeichnung der Figuren legt ein Entstehungsdatum noch im 15. Jahrhundert, in Frankreich, in Köln oder den südlichen Niederlanden, nahe (vgl. Husband, 1991, S. 135; Lymant, 1982, Nr. 93–95; Tiedemann, 2008, S. 74). Besonders ähnlich ist etwa eine vermutlich aus dem elsässischen Wihr-au-Val stammende Rundscheibe mit dem hl. Hieronymus (Ende 15. Jh., Museum Unterlinden, Colmar; Hérold/Gatouillat, 1994, Abb. 139, S. 282).

    Die Scheibe ist unpubliziert.
