    Verre pressé moulé, verre ouraline jaune-verdâtre, ponçage en bas. Le pied est creux.

    Research

    Le verre ouraline, dont la teinte varie du jaune au vert et qui est fluorescent à la lumière ultraviolette, était très populaire entre 1880 et 1920. Obtenu en ajoutant de l’oxyde d’uranium (urane), il était particulièrement apprécié pour la fabrication de vaisselle et d’objets de décoration, à l'instar de ce bougeoir dont la provenance et la datation n'ont pas encore pu être définies avec précision (ouraline.com, 2003-2011).
