Research

Bei den Stiftern könnte es sich um das Ehepaar Hans Trog (1889–nach 1960) und Ida Egger (1893–1876) handeln. Hans Trog stammte aus Olten, bildete sich zum Hotelier aus und kam als Geschäftsführer in den Schweizerhof nach Kandersteg. Er heiratete die Tochter des dortigen Hoteliers Egger, übernahm den Schweizerhof und leitete diesen zusammen mit seiner Frau. Er war Mitglied des Gemeinderats und Präsident mehrerer Kommissionen (Wyss, 1960, S. 93). Das Glasgemälde wurde in der Berner Werkstätte von Paul Wüthrich in Auftrag gegeben.
