Description

Im Mittelbild ist die Berufung des hl. Petrus (Mk 1, 16–18, Mt 4, 18–22) dargestellt und durch eine lateinische Bildinschrift kommentiert: “Ich werde Dich zum Menschenfischer machen” (Mt 4, 19). Am Ufer des Sees Genezareth fordert Christus den knienden Petrus auf, ihm zu folgen. Im Wasser werfen vor den Ufern der Stadt Galilea die beiden Brüder Petrus und Andreas die Netze aus. Vor den seitlichen Pilastern sind der Namenspatron des Stifters und der Patron der alten Kapelle von Remaufens dargestellt: links steht der hl. Georg als Ritter gerüstet über dem Drachen, rechts hält der hl. Mauritius als Legionär in Rüstung und rotem Waffenrock das Kreuzbanner und den Schild mit dem silbernen Kleeblattkreuz. Ein roter Balken mit blauer Mittelkartusche trennt die Hauptszene vom Oberbild, das zwischen zwei blauen Voluten die Krönung Mariens darstellt. Am Fuss steht in ganzer Breite die Rollwerkkartusche mit der Stifterinschrift.

Farbloses und rotes Glas. Bemalung mit Schwarzlot und Silbergelb in verschiedenen Farbstufen, vorder- und rückseitig aufgetragenem Eisenrot sowie blauen Schmelzfarben.

History

Research

Georg Dématraz stammte aus Broc. Seit 1648 diente er als Pfarrer in Attalens, wo er am 2.6.1685 starb und der Kirche sein gesamtes Hab und Gut vermachte. Unter Georgs Amtszeit wurde das Pfarrhaus in Attalens neu errichtet. Sein Wappen findet sich dementsprechend im grossen Saal des Pfarrhauses wieder (Dellion I, 1884. S. 158). Als Pfarrer von Attalens war er auch für den Neubau der Kirche in Remaufens verantwortlich. Wahrscheinlich war Claude Dématraz, Pfarrer von Saint-Martin, sein Bruder.
