Description

Seitlich angeschnittenes rundes Medaillon mit dunkelbraunem Hintergrund, schwarz umrahmt, auf weisser Fläche. Über frontalem Oberkörper mit rotem Mantel ist der dornengekrönte Kopf Jesu in Dreiviertelprofil nach links gedreht. Mit gefesselten Handgelenken hält Christus in seiner Linken ein Spottzepter. Er hat seine blauen Augen gesenkt. Der Nimbus besteht aus kleinen Strahlen, die mit Goldbronze hinterlegt sind. Inschrift in kursiver Blockschrift unter dem Medaillon. Brauner Originalrahmen mit bemalter Innenleiste und mit zugehörigem Rückseitenschutz aus einer dünnen Holzplatte. Originale doppelte Durchbohrung für die Aufhängung.

Das seitlich angeschnittene Medaillon ist in der Malschule von Aussergefild üblich (vgl. Christusbüste in Medaillon Inv.-Nr. RY 189 und Hl. Johannes in Malarstwo na szkle 2009, S. 214, Nr. 590). Eine stilistische Ähnlichkeit, namentlich in den blauen Augen, besteht auch zu einer Christusbüste der Sammlung R.+F. Ryser (Inv.-Nr. RY 211).
