    Zur stilistischen Einordnung dieses Fragments bietet sich die Helmdecke als einziger Anhaltspunkt an. Weil sie analog gestaltet ist wie diejenige des Wappens von Johann Leonhard Engel in dessen 1678 von Hans Jakob Güder für die Kirche von Erlach geschaffenen Glasgemälde, besteht kein Zweifel, dass das Fragment aus einer um 1670/80 von einem Angehörigen der Familie von Erlach bei diesem Berner Glasmaler in Auftrag gegebenen Scheibe stammt.
