    Description

    Vor rotem, schwarz damasziertem Grund ist die gekrönte Muttergottes mit dem Kind auf der Mondsichel in grünem Rasen dargestellt. Sie ist in ein weisses, schwarz gemustertes Gewand und einen blauen Mantel gehüllt und hält in der linken Hand einen Blumenstrauss. Der Jesusknabe in ihrem linken Arm spielt mit einem Apfel. Der hölzerne Rahmen verdeckt die neu ergänzte Rahmung mit einem Astwerkbogen und zwei Säulchen (nur von hinten sichtbar).

    Original erhalten ist nur die Figur, d. h. alle übrigen Gläser sind neu ergänzt. Sprungbleie; die Verbleiung erneuert.

    Restaurierungen Beginn 20. Jahrhundert Hans Drenckhahn, Thun: Ergänzung von Damast und Einrahmung (vgl. Wegeli 1935).

    Das vorliegende Fragment einer Kirchenscheibe lässt sich aufgrund der engen Verwandtschaft mit der hl. Maria Magdalena auf der von Hans Funk signierten Bremgartener Stadtscheibe von 1510 im Bernischen Historischen Museum (BHM Bern, Inv. 370) diesem Glasmaler zuweisen. Der ehemalige Bestimmungsort und der ursprüngliche Zusammenhang des Glasgemäldes ist leider nicht bekannt.
