Research

Über Vinzenz Mosimann aus der Gemeinde Biglen im Berner Mittelland ist nichts Weiteres bekannt.

Der Spruch der vorliegenden Scheibe geht auf Joachim von Beusts "Christiados Libellus" (Erstausgabe 1570) zurück. Diese dem religiösen Unterricht dienende Verssammlung fasst das Evangelium in mehrsprachigen Versen zusammen und ordnet sie den Sonntagen des Jahres zu. Dem 2. Advent ist folgender Spruch, auf dem Lukasevangelium, Kap. 21, basierend, zugeordnet: "Fur Augen man frey sehen mag / Das jtzt nah sey der Jüngste tag: / Doch ist so sicher blind die Welt / Das sies nicht sicht / und nichts drauff helt." (Ausgabe 1574, S. 189).
