Research

Das kleine Wappenscheibchen stellt nur das Fragment einer grösseren Scheibe dar. Während der untere Teil des Wappens lautmalerisch auf den Namen anspielt (Karren, Charre), hält der Löwe in der oberen Teilung in seiner Tatze die drei Glaserwerkzeuge Kröseleisen, Glaserhammer und Lötkolben. Ein Glaser Hans Michel Karch ist bislang nicht bekannt. Die gleichnamige Familie ist im 17. Jahrhundert vorwiegend in Süddeutschland nachweisbar.
