History

Research

(Johann) Sebastian Berner († 1688) wurde am 31. März 1643 als Sohn des Niklaus Berner und der Verena Fischer in Bern geboren. Er wurde Pfarrer in der Lenk und heiratete am 27. Mai 1670 in Wattenwil Magdalena Dick, eine Tochter des David Dick und der Salome Rohr. Das Paar brachte drei Kinder zur Taufe (Kessel 2015). Aus stilistischen Gründen dürfte das Wappenscheibchen eine Arbeit des Berner Glasmalers Hans Jakob Güder sein.
