    Das Glasgemälde gehört vermutlich zu einer Serie von Rundscheiben mit Szenen aus dem Leben oder der Leidensgeschichte Christi, die gemeinsam in ein oder mehrere Butzenfenster eingelassen waren. Technik und Figurenstil lassen die Scheibe in das zweite Viertel des 17. Jahrhunderts datieren. Beim gegenwärtigen Kenntnisstand bleiben ihr Schöpfer und ihre Herkunft im Dunkeln.
